Grasses and blue sky – from a parking lot – really!
Yesterday we were driving home after a beautiful weekend on Mayne Island. We were hot, tired and needed to stretch our legs. We found a small patch of shade on the outskirts of a mall parking lot near the highway. I nursed small one and while I was sitting on the curb in the shade I noticed the pathway behind me. It is a walkway in Nanaimo which parallels the highway. I was really drawn to the warm colours of the grasses against the blue sky and the the wispy white clouds. I was happy to have found a breathing space within an urban setting.
