Willow Charcoal sketch

Whenever I have extra paint left on my palette I brush or wipe it onto a card stock or into my sketchbook. Seems I can’t waste colour! In this little sketch I rediscovered willow charcoal; it’s so smooth and rich and the round stick rolls beautiful marks. I also discovered drawing on the back of a tracing paper sketch with coloured pencils creates a soft effect that I love [the red parts of the dandelion stems].
